I've been recreating hand ink drawings on an iPad and here's what I found.
Since I have been using an iPad I have always been measuring its place in my creative process against my old hand drawn ink illustrations I did as a student. The reality has always been a resounding no, that is until recently.
I think I can now faithfully create this old style using a iPad Pro with an Apple pencil allowing me to easily recreate the stipple effect. The image of the left could easily have taken a week to create, whilst the image on the right, a day.
This means that I can now see a very real place in my creative arsenal for the iPad Pro not only as a tool for preliminary work but as a finishing tool for many different types and styles of illustration.
